I hold the following degrees:
B.A., Philosophy, Olivet College
M. Div., Biblical Studies, Chicago Theological Seminary
M. A., Counseling, Central Michigan University
D. Min., Hypnosis and Spiritual Direction, Western Theological Seminary
Here is a "condensed" version of my career:
Professionally I have spent 22 years in parish ministry, 4 years in Community Mental health work, 8 years directing the Samaritan Counseling Center in Saginaw, MI, and a total of about 15 years in private practice counseling. In 2009 I began a process of developing coaching skills. I have shifted my work into life coaching and pastoral counseling. In the summer of 2011 I closed my counseling practice and have affiliated myself with Fresh Aire Pastoral Counseling Service in Midland, MI where I serve as pastoral consultant. I provide life and spiritual coaching to selected clients. I recently completed the training required to become an mBIT Certified Coach. I can now offer my coaching clients the insights of the multiple brain perspective developed by Grant Soosalu and Marvin Oka. I have continued this training and am now certified both as a Master mBIT Coach and a mBIT Trainer's Trainer.
Life is good when you can reinvent yourself periodically.
